Everyone's shape is different, many special occassion dresses (especially bridal gowns) will require alternations to achieve the perfect fit. Keep this in mind and when in doubt order the next size larger. It is generally easier to take a gown in then to let it out. Instructions for Fitting Gowns:
With a measuring tape
For Example: Bust- 36, Waist- 2, Hips- 38
In this situation you would order a Large (From the Prom and Bridesmaid Chart below). Even though the bust and hip measurements are for a medium, the waist measurement is a large. If this person ordered a medium it would be too tight through the hip area. Always order according to your largest measurement to ensure best fit
